Amid this bleak winter it is useful to have a place for peace and quiet – away from home, if home has become a workplace. My special place is in St Paul’s in Schöneberg, Berlin, a two-minute walk from the front door. I sit here for twenty minutes on some weekday afternoons. Where is your sanctuary, in these hard times?
